Biographical Information

Helen is a state-licensed clinical social worker and therapist at Perspectives Counseling Centers. She practices both telehealth and in-person in Troy. Helen received her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Oakland University in 2011 and her Masters in Social Work from Michigan State University in 2013. Helen has experience in case management, community mental health services with children, adolescents, and families, and in the child welfare system. Helen’s practice style is one of support and empowerment. Helen considers herself a tour guide and a resource to her clients as they work through their presenting concerns.  As a therapist, Helen brings examples, activities, and evidence-based practices to her sessions to assist her clients. Helen’s practice population includes adults, adolescents, and children. She has a collaborative, connection-driven style. Helen’s goal is to assist her clients in meeting their goals and to have great outcomes.

 During her free time, Helen most enjoys being outdoors, writing, and baking.  She also loves card and board games.
